Our history

At the beginning two men, a harmonica and some glass beer stood. At the end many hundreds content humans.

In the summer 2000 Igor Flach stayed in Klingenthal, in order to let and or other new instrument in inspection take overhaul in the harmonica mundharmonika-Manufaktur C.A. Seydel sons its instruments. It was accommodated in the hotel „Zum Postillion“, and like it to country like that, came he is with the landlord, the Rostock, Rolf here into the discussion. It relax a discussion interesting for both sides. Rolf could tell, which role played the harmonica here over more than hundred years, the Klingenthal for itself stresses to be the cradle of the harmonica. And which sad development since 1990 the production of this instrument took. Igor described, how the play and the music with the Mundi is maintained elsewhere that the instrument has a faithful fan circle, a life-glad and unlocked municipality to meetings in completely Europe appears regular. Thus it came that two were, which sat down into the head to provide for the harmonica again a worthy framework in Klingenthal the idea from the first harmonica meeting were born.
From now on the two contacts, Igor attached so many participations for the idea to artists, Rolf to landlords, sponsors and associations and already soon were won that from the idea a project became: The project „Mundharmonika-live“

This team brought then Mundharmonika-live on the way which here so simply in a sentence is written, was with much commitment enthusiasm and before all staying power connected. After the mountain of the pessimism was threadbare, now the troubles of the level began: Posters and flyer had to be sketched, printed and distributed, musicians had to be found and selected, contracts locked, to locations rented, catering organized, dates co-ordinated to call (in order only some). At the end a program stood over three days, completely in the indication of the harmonica.
